From my own experience, I went into medical school in 2013. I came around the autumn season. I and my classmates were taken tthe
Hospial for medical check up, they don't care if you have done it in your home country or not.
That was my first day in the medical school and away from home.
The very next day, we started classes. I went to medical school in China, so we had a lot of language classes in year one to enable us communicate, though we were studying in English.
We also did medical physics, medical maths, cell biology ,etc.
First year was also hectic because we go to classes by 8:00am and have break around 11:30am and then come back by 1:00pm to continue till 4:30 or 5:00pm. Sometimes some classes stay till around 7:00pm if one of their lecturers didn't come on time may be, because of emergency surgery at the hospital.
